Facebook Political Discussions

If you are reading this as the result of a link that was posted to facebook, then allow me to explain what has happened. I must have made a political post to which you commented your viewpoint on. Since that time, we have engaged in a series of comments which are getting us nowhere and won't seem to end.

Maybe the point in this case with this post was to put my political statement out there and have it be just that without an invitation to try to change my mind. It's not that I don't appreciate other points of view. In fact, it's quite the contrary, but in this instance we are now beating a dead horse and I'm tired of explaining every little reason why I think and feel the way I do in an attempt to 'wear me down.' Perhaps that's too presumptuous. Maybe you're not trying to wear me down, but regardless, if you've received this link, it's my opinion that we are not accomplishing anything productive at this point and I don't want to spend the time to keep this up.

I thank you for your insights, but I'm saying that we should end this discussion from this point forward, respectfully.
